01/09/2008James Jakes came away from his home race in the F3 Euro Series disappointed to miss out on valuable championship points.
The British driver, who had qualified in the top five, was set for a fifth place finish in race one before he was taken out by his team-mate. That relegated him to the back of the field to race two, while he would have been in contention for a podium in race two due to the reverse grid rule had he made the top five.

01/09/2008James Jakes was robbed of a fighting fifth place in Saturday's F3 Euro Series race at Brands Hatch after he was taken out by his team-mate in the closing stages.
James had fought hard to maintain his position throughout the 58-lap race, as his car had sustained slight damage after a first lap collision with Sam Bird.

01/09/2008James Jakes secured a top-five grid position during qualifying for the first of his two races on home soil at Brands Hatch this weekend.
The British driver was pleased to put himself in contention for a solid weekend, but he was also disappointed that he was unable to repeat his pole position effort from the same race last year.

16/07/2008James Jakes narrowly missed out on a points-scoring position in the second F3 Euro Series race at Zandvoort on Sunday.
The British driver finished seventh in the race, but he has turned his attention to the next event at the Nurburgring after a difficult weekend in Holland.

16/07/2008James Jakes has set himself a target of making up at least eight places in Saturday's F3 Euro Series race at Zandvoort after a difficult qualifying session on Friday.

James Jakes had to take comfort from setting the fastest lap in the second F3 Euro Series race at the Norisring, as his weekend of misfortune continued on Sunday.
The 20-year-old ART Grand Prix driver had to fight his way through the field from 25th on the grid after he was hit at the start in Saturday's race, but his chances were hindered by a long race stoppage which reduced the race to just 19 laps.

28 June 2008James Jakes had his chances of adding another F3 Euroseries win to his tally ruined by a first lap accident in race one at the Norisring.
The 20-year-old was confident heading into the race after qualifying on the second row despite having flat-spotted his tyres with a spin. He was tucked up behind eventual second place finisher Kodai Tsukakoshi into the first corner at the start, but he was then punted out of the race by Jean-Karl Vernay, who went on to finish third.

6 may 2008James' weekend in Italy did not improve in the second F3 Euro Series race of the weekend, but despite the setbacks at Mugello he is already focused on improving things for the next race at Pau.
The 20-year-old had made up for his start in Saturday's race by making a great getaway this morning, but he was then hindered by another car stalling in front of him. While he was able to show flashes of speed after that when he wasn't running in traffic, it was another difficult race.

James Jakes Race 1 Report - Round 2 F3 Euroseries, Mugello
6 May 2008James was left scratching his head after Saturday's F3 Euro Series race at Mugello, as he slipped down the order from his top six qualifying performance.
While the 20-year-old could understand why he lost places at the start, he then had to fight a rearguard action to fend off other cars as he struggled for grip throughout the race.
James eventually slipped back to 12th in the race, meaning he will have a lot of work to do in Sunday's event at the Italian track.

14 April 2008James Jakes finished the first race of the F3 Euro Series in a frustrating 12th position as traffic prevented him from showing his true pace on Saturday.

20 March 2008On the second day off the official Formula 3 Euro Series tests, Nicolas Hülkenberg (ART Grand Prix) again secured the top position on the time sheets. First day of testing in Valencia - ART out in front
20 March 2008The first day of official Formula 3 Euro Series testing saw three drivers of the ART team out in front. German driver Nico Hülkenberg was the fastest to lap the circuit in Valencia, Spain with a time of 1.28.696 minutes. Frenchman Jules Bianchi was only 0.013 seconds slower in second place.
